Hi, Does anyone have a photograph of my great-grandfather David Clayton Bell (1875-1924), husband of Edna Josephine Downs Bell, of the Bryan County, Georgia area? I remember as a child being shown a picture of him by my great-grandmother. Thanks, Sharlotte http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/d/o/n/Sharlotte--N-Donnelly
Sorry about the reply. I meant to email Kathy.. Jeanette
Thanks for the cemetery list and the McElveen file. I haven't found any Ivy Anderson. I got to thinking, maybe I heard them speak of Ivy Miller and not Anderson. I haven't been on much today. Bobby had an 8 A.M. dentist appt. When the dentist was pulling the tooth it broke and he ended up with some stitches. It is still bleeding some tonight. Goes back to his regular ddentist in a couple of weeks for some crpwns and then he will get a partial for that tooth. He is a little vain since it is a front bottom tooth. He probably won't go out to often until he gets that partial. I sent Sherry an email to see if she caan send me another disk with the books on them. I have the books on floppys but I can't get the index. The floppy fills before the page of index is complete. If I don't hear from her in a couple of days, I will mail the books and when we go out to my sons, get Josh to put it on a disk. Jeanette
Thought this might be of interest to folks researching these names. I have not seen this cemetery listed before. I learned of this cemetery while visiting at the McElveens (my in-laws) near the Denmark community, Bulloch Co., on March 24, 2004, and visited the cemetery on same day. Kathy Hodges McElveen Directions: >From the flashing light at the intersection of GA Hwy. 67 and the Brooklet-Denmark Rd. in the Denmark community, go North on the Brooklet-Denmark Rd. approx. 3 miles. Cross bridge. Immediately on left is a cultivated field with a field access road. This cemetery is located on the NE corner of the field near the highway. At the time of my visit this field was farmed by Raymond Waters of the Denmark community. The cemetery is surrounded by a chain link fence and the entire cemetery area is concreted. A sign is attached to the fence gate which reads: 1848 to 1936 Waters-Richardson-NeSmith. I found 21 graves (5 unmarked) in basically 3 rows, described below as First Row, Middle Row, and Back Row. WATERS - RICHARDSON - NeSMITH CEMETERY 1848-1936 FIRST ROW: Waters (Double head stone) James S. Sarah E.
