I have a copy of transcribed birth, marriage and death announcements (1924 -1929) which were abstracted from The Bulloch Times newspaper - then transferred to microfilm by staff of the Statesboro Regional Library. The compiler and indexer of this material was Mrs. Lawrence B. Kelly. I obtained this volume in hopes of locating an obituary for my husband's great-grandfather, "Little Mitch" Hendrix, who died prematurely of a burst appendix in 1925. I'd be happy to do a lookup from this volume for anyone who requests it.     3. I have this line in my PAF. Joshua Woods married Susannah Pridgen, my ggg grandaunt. She was the sister of my ggg grandmother Sarah Pridgen who married Benjamin Lanier. Joshua & Susannah had numerous children, incuding the ones you both are talking about. B. Wight, in Cairo on March 4th, in the seventy-first year of her age. Mrs. Slater has been an invalid for a year and a half. She was buried last Saturday afternoon at Fellowship Baptist church in Bulloch county, of which she has been a member for fifty-eight years. Mrs. Slater was the wife of the late John G. Slater, Esq., and is survived by nine children, Mrs. C. W. Smith of Reidsville, Ga.; Mrs. W. A. Hodges of Millrae, Ga.; Mrs. Ida S. Heidt, of Savannah; Mrs. J. B. Wight, Cairo; Mrs. J. C. Slater, of Savannah; Mr. W. A. Slater, of Nelwood, Ga.; Brantley Slater, Esq. of Ivanhoe, Ga.; Mrs. R. C. Little of Roanoke, Ala. and Miss Louise Slater of Thomasville.
