    1. [GABULLOC] THOMAS {F?} JONES (1775-1835)
    2. James A. Jones
    3. Hello list members, Being that I am new to this list, I would like to ask if there might be anyone out there having *any* information on a THOMAS JONES, Sr.; and more so, who his parents were? According to my files, my Thomas was born in 1775 NC? and died circa 1835 in Bulloch Co., GA. He married Martha Denmark 4.17.1796 in Bulloch Co. I do have Thomas and Martha's children listed and portions of their families. One of his children was my ggg grandfather ALLEN JONES. He m: Nancy "Ann" Cone on 1.16.1823 in Bulloch Co. I would be grateful for any information (no matter how small) that anyone may have which will aid me in finding out more about my Thomas and/or his parents...OR any suggestions which could help me to connect to other descendants of this family. I do have a William Jones (b. circa 1750), son of Francis who I suspect to be Thomas' father?...but due to insufficient sources/documentatin, I'm not positive on this parent. Also, I'm uncertain re: his middle initial/name. I know that Thomas had a son named after him with an "F" given as his middle initial...so it stands for reason that my Thomas, Sr. should have the same initial being his son was a Junior. However, some research I have found indicated Thomas Sr.'s m.n. was Jefferson? In this same material, I found Thomas' father was listed as an Adam...probably another Thomas and barking up *another* tree?? Thank you for any help you may offer, Jimmy in middle TN [email protected] ----------- Other SURNAMES: Baskin(s), Cone, Denmark, Edmondson, Futch, Hardy, Howell, Knight, Lankford, Lastinger, Mathis, McCranie, Monk, O'Steen, Parrish, Roberts, Vickers, Williams and Zeigler

    2. Some of you may be way ahead of me.........and for those who are not, I must share, with Diehl / Deal researchers, the following data. After two years of research, a clue was discovered about 1:00 AM this morning, and with the gracious help of several Delaware Co., PA researchers the following discovery has surfaced. The original theory among the Deals, location later disproven by LUCY DEAL GARLAND, was that "our branch" came from Deale Island, in the Chesapeake Bay, off the coast of the State of Delaware. Actually, they were born on Tinicum Island, in the Delaware River, off the coast of Delaware Co. (formerly Chester Co.) PA. It would appear that our ancestors traveled the Philadelphia Wagon Road and/or the Fall Line Road, from Pennsylvania, to their new homes in Georgia. There is much to be researched and I hope that this bit of information will be of help to all of us, I know that I am very excited. Again, my sincere thanks to the Delaware Co., PA list. 1. [GABULLOC] Mixon/Bolton
    2. I have a Ben Mixon b. GA that married a Sally Bolton b. GA. Does anyone have Ben and Sally in their family records? I know that they had a son, Donnie that died in Florida and was buried in Statesboro and this is all that I know. My Mixons were from the Bulloch area and I am trying to piece together the Mixon families that lived there. Any help would be appreciated. Linda
