Thank you for confirming Nancy Cone as the sister of Aaron Cone. I appreciate the help. Now I can add the Cone/Hagin information to my records. I'm not actively researching the Cone family. However, they connect to my Tullis line. William Henry Tullis was the son of Rev. Stephen Tullis (1787-1841) and Siani London (1791-1869). Please make additions or corrections. The following information about the Scarborough-Scarboro Family has been collected from various sources (see endnotes). I hope it will be helpful to someone. If you can add to or correct any of this information please do so through the Bulloch Rootsweb so everyone can benefit. Hi Fran. Yes, and there was a steamship line or captain or something also called the Scarboro. I will try to dig this out. It might take until this weekend if you can wait. The sleepy little ghosttown of Scarboro is STILL in existence. There might have been a railway depot there before the War of Northern Agression... if you look at a Screven County map, and look for the Ogeechee River which marks the border between Bulloch County, (now Statesboro, GA), and Screven County, GA (roughly Sylvania and very rural areas of populations of around 20-500 in each little, little community (perhaps this is too much a generalization that Screven Countians might not approve of citing that way,), it gives you a kind of picture of the area. It never, ever recovered from the Civil War and Sherman's march to the sea. And Scarboro was a really neat little community before then. To find Scarboro, look for U.S. Highway 301. The Old Louisville Road, Hwy 17 I think, crossed Hwy 301; go towards Savannah maybe 10 miles or so, (it's been too long since I drove it...I live in Fort Worth), cross the railroad tracks and you are in Scarboro. Supposed to be a haunted house there. Anyway, it's lots of fun stuff when we were kids and knew what it meant to be bored... will get back to you!
