    3. Would anyone have any information about a JOHN CARROLL who married ROXEY WILLIAMS 7 August 1860, Dooly County Marriages, Marriage Book B (1852-1875), page 114? Quite a few families from the Bulloch, Screven County area migrated to Dooly County. Dooly County was created from Ceded Lands in 1821. Unfortunately, Dooly County Courthouse 'suspiciously' burned before 1844, and the early records were lost. So it's hard to find earlier generations for both. Carole Drexel drexel410@charter.net

    2. Greg Drexel
    3. An entry from Alvaretta Kenan Register's book, titled "Bulloch County Genealogical Material", there is an entry on page 395 that reads as follows: May 19, 1802. JACOB & JANE NEELY to COTTON RAWLS their third part of the estate of CHAPLIN WILLIAMS, their father. Witness: McKEEN GREEN, B(enjamin) GREEN. Recorded: 23 July 1805. Now somewhere I recorded that a CHAPLIN WILLIAMS married SUSANNAH GREEN. Perhaps that came from McKeen Green's pension papers file at the GA Archives. Anyway, Susannah Green was McKeen Green's and Benjamin Green's mother. Further, from McKeen Green's Am Rev. Pension Papers, CHAPLIN WILLIAMS was not named, but 'OLD LUDD WILLIAMS' who married McKeen Green's mother, was. There is a plat of record showing a Chaplin Williams property in Screven County. Can anyone tell me any more about either the meaning of the name, or nickname of LUDD, as there was also a "Ludd Young" mentioned in the early Wills Index, but I didn't find a will for him, in the Screven County Probate Court, and if there might be any tie in with a REV. ROBERT WILLIAMS, father or adoption father for CELETE WILLIAMS? Celete Williams married CHARLES McCALL supposedly in Society Hill, S. C. before the American Revolution. The daughter of Celete Williams McCall and Charles McCall was Elinor "Nelly" McCall. Nelly McCall was the first wife of McKEEN GREEN. Celete died early on in their marriage, with only 2 live children born. McKeen Green later married a DuBoise who eventually received his American Revolution Pension money. Is this all just too coincidental or is there really some link? Carole Drexel drexel410@charter.net

    1. [GABULLOC] Carole Drexel, please respond.
    2. Hello Carole......are you there? My ISP is AOL through Road Runner cable service, and I'm not receiving postings from any of the County lists of which I'm a subscriber, however I am receiving from the RW Computer list. Having just subscribed to an additional list, I've not received message from RW, indicating that I've been added. I'd appreciate the favor, if you would respond to me directly, to let me know if my posting was received. To the many other nice members, I've asked only Carole, so the list, nor I, will be bombarded with messages. Please let Carole answer so that the list mom doesn't get angry with me. Thank you, Sherry tybeetide@aol.com

    1. [GABULLOC] Hart Family Info
    2. Sheila Hart
    3. I am searching for info on my husband's family. This is his grandfather's family I found in the 1920 Emanuel Co census: Remer Willis or Willis Remer Hart - age 42 Wife: Alma (Turner) Hart- age 35 Son: T.J. (Thomas J?) - age 14 Son: Remer W. Jr - age 12 Daug: Mabel/Maybelle - age 10 Daug: Lucille - age 8 Son: Noel? (not sure of name, hard to read on census image) - age 3 Husband's father, Virgil Eugene Hart was born Sept 12, 1921 in Statesboro/Bulloch Co but lived in Garfield/Emanuel Co. Also listed in the household are Alma's children from a previous marriage to a Spradley from SC (she and the Spradley children were also born in SC.) Son: A.G. Spradley - age 10 Son: Harvey/Harry - age 7 Daug's: Louise and Eloise - twins - age 4 Believe Remer's father was Thomas J. Hart, I have found several Thomas's in the Bulloch Co census's but each have a different name for the wife but the age for Thomas J. Hart fits. Where can I find birth, marriage, death dates for these people? Any info or suggestions on where I might find this info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Willis Eugene & Sheila Hart
