Can anyone identify or connect to the Thomas Strickland family born in NC, married in Tattnall Co., GA and was last known living/farming in Bryan Co. GA in 1860? He disappears between 1860-1870. He is believed to be the son of Gadi and Elizabeth Strickland from Tattnall Co. GA. Any help in locating information about this family will be sincerely appreciated. I see mention of Gadi Strickland b 1778. William b 1812. (Are you sure your Thomas was not maybe William Thomas Strickland? I ask, because I noticed he named a child William.) These two are listed as living in area of the Canoochee section, and areas around Black Creek and Mill Creek in upper part of Bryan Co. And there is a deed of March 24 1853 from Elijah Strickland to Cyrus Bird and A.G. Smith 80 acres of land bounded by lands of Morgan, Bird and Smith and unknown land and grants to said Elijah Strickland. There is a Strickland Cem. also. There are many Strickland names, but these are the only ones close to what you asked.
