Unless I missed something, this is the only refrence to any military record for a Strickland: In the Strickland Cemetery in, I believe, Upper part of Bryan (which is one of many being listed as being in the Fort Stewart Military Reservation) there is Sarah J. Strickland 1849-1856. Then there is a John N. Strickland 1837 - 1862 listed as Bryan Independent Rifleman, Co A, 25th Regiment, Georgia Volunteers, Confederate States Army.
