Have been searching for the parents of Celia BRAGG who married James P. DICKEY. Their daughter was Sophia Frances DICKEY and she married Simeon T. BURKE. This couple went on to live between Jenkins and Screven Counties. from the circa 1845 - 1915 and are buried in Green Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. One of the BURKE sons (or rather two of them) married POYTHRESS sisters whose parents were Nathanial Harper and Rachel FLAKE POYTHRESS..I would really appreciate any help on these lines especially when Celia and James married, the parents of Celia and POYTHRESS. None of the Poythress seem to think that my NH is any kin to them. I think a hurricane must have blown him in from a ship. I was told that Celia may have been born in Bryan County.
