    3. Diane, Thanks. Caroline seems to have been a Duggar name. My g-g-grandfather Daniel Claotn married Caroline (possibly Mary Caroline) Duggar about 1814. Both of them appear to have died early and there's a huge gap in family knowledge. For example, I've seen genealogis indicating her father was a William Duggar but some of these Bryan-Bulloch County genealogies appear to be based on supposition and legend as much as information. |I'm hoping to gather info on the Duggars to sort it out. All those Clantons in that area seem to have sprung from a Charles Clanton and Christianne Etheridge who moved there about 1800, probably from the Carolinas.
