However, I am in need of any information on my great-great grandparents; a John Phillips (possibly John H. Phillips) and his wife Laura Phillips (possibly Anna Laura Phillips). Both were African-American with Indian blood. Based on oral history from my grandmother, they were both former slaves. It is not known their exact ages/birthdates/death as all records were destroyed in a fire many, many years ago. I beleive that Laura passed on some time in the 1940's and that John died probably died in the late 1930's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
