He was killed in a tragic automobile accident on July 21, 1939. His funeral was in the church in Sandersville on Sunday, July 23. After his death his wife, Dora Sanders Marshall elected to make her home in Quitman, and Rev. Marshall's burial was in Quitman, in the Oak Hill Cemetery - West. Mrs. Marshall is also buried there; she followed him in death on August 5, 1943. My husband is a descendant of Rev. Marshall, and we searching for other descendants of Rev. and Mrs. Marshall. Any information will be appreciated. We live in Florida and I have searched the web for Marshall's who now live in Quitman, but have been unsuccessful to-date. We believe that the fellowhship of the church members, and the local community was sweet to Mrs. Marshall and that's why she decided to make Quitman she home after her husband's death. There is also the possibly that they had children who would have been of marrying age during the time he pastored in Quitman and they could have married members of the commnunity of Quitman. Help!
