Some of his boys (Willia Buford Pittman, JOhn Wallace Pittman, Joel Sheppard Pittman, Charlie and others) lived in Thomas, Brooks, Quitman, Randolph and Sumter Counties in mid 1800's and early 1900's. Elbert is the father. Married Nancy Council in Laurens County in 1811. Have been unable to locate Elbert's father,....any help would be much appreciated.
