Hello All, I am searching for leads on two ancestors who lived in Valdosta, Lowndes Co. in 1898 and probably longer. Johny (just one N) Russell Jones, born there on January 7, 1898; this surname was from his stepfather. His mother was Sophie (Jeanette, Genet, or Janet) Boyd (maiden name). His birth father's name is unknown to living relatives; his parents divorced in early 1900s. Any info. on local BOYD or JONES families would be appreciated.
