I have a Brooks County GA marriage index for 1859-1875, but no book and page reference numbers. This shows Charity CHAMPION married C.T.F. AYRES on August 25, 1872. There is no listing for Abraham Champion. Hope this helps. William married Nancy Turner, b. 1871 in Brooks county, and had several children including one set of twins. He was murdered on the courthouse steps in Moultrie in 1900 by a J.C. Curls.
