We'd love to have more information about Enos Riley Hiatt, Indiana photographer. We've obtained a few photocopies of his portraits from a researcher on the Randolph County Indiana list. We've since discovered that another relative, Charles Hiatt, was also a photographer. We think that Charles was Enos' older brother. Yes - Enos Riley Hiatt was my husband's grandfather, and we DO have the Winchester, Indiana front-page story about the death - but there were no FACTS about the accident. Bob was only 9 at the time, and would like to see how the accident was reported in the Georgia newspaper. A Christmas Day fatality of two elderly gentlemen probably was reported. Who was driving? Was there another car involved? (Bob says he remembers that Doc was driving, that somehow he lost control and went off the road and overturned. Yet the Winchester story has it as a "head-on" collision.) That's genealogy for you, though - the more you find out, the more you want to know. Thanks again for your kind response. It's even more important to us right now, as we have FINALLY found a Hiatt first cousin. Enos had two sons - Rea and DeLoe (Bob is DeLoe Hiatt, Jr.). We finally found one of Rea's sons - Bert - in Randolph County, Indiana - and we're scheduled to visit shortly. Warm regards, Karen Hiatt Rocky River, OH (suburb of Cleveland)
