Aunt Ruth Green was my Dad's aunt (I am assuming she was a sister of the grandfather I never knew, Jobe S. Tyler). My dad took me and my brother to visit with them several times. At one time, our family lived in Macon. I well remember what a lady Aunt Ruth was; I wanted to be just like her! I also remember my Dad telling me of the son, Tyler Green, who was killed in WWII; and that Aunt Ruth was a member of the Gold Star Mothers Association. My dad always wanted me to name one of my sons "Tyler", and regretfully I did not do it. I also remember what a collector Uncle John Allen was; and how proud my Dad was to give him a Japanese rifle from WWII he had acquired somehow when he was in the Navy in WWII. I would like very much to hear from you and the help you might be able to give to me in my research of the Tyler family.
