Hey BIBB listers! This list has been very quiet recently, and now needs to crank up again. With the gifts of new computers, upgrades, etc., we are bound to get more new listers. Please be patient with their mistakes, and newness. Beware of many dangerous viruses and Trojans on the loose during this season. Do not open any suspicious or friendly attachments without questioning their origin and contents first by contacting the sender in a new message. NO viruses come through RootsWeb lists. If you receive a post from RootsWeb with an attachment that isn't a digest, be very suspicious and check it out before opening it. Many viruses disguise themselves as addresses from other folks lists. I have already heard from several folks who lost everything in their systems because they were not careful and had no virus detection program to protect them. PLEASE ARM YOUR COMPUTER with an ANTI-VIRUS protection program. This is a very friendly list, and you will not be made to feel foolish. I will begin posting information for all listers after the new year in order to familiarize all listers with list and web site guidelines for the most efficient use. They will come as posts and will be posted individually on a rotating basis in the GABIBB taglines. Keep these as lists for future reference. Also remember to watch what you post to the list, because the posts are archived. Keep personal replies, etc., personal. Ask me if you need assistance.
