Benjamin Wooten was in the House of Burgess, if my memory serves me correctly. In the early 1700's, Elizabeth Rousseau, daughter of Hillaire Rousseau, married (I believe it was Benjamin) Wooten. The Wooten family is well docuented in Va., and Ga. They were intermarried to the Rousseau family several times. Go on line and check VA., Wooten. (Think it might have been Culpepper, Va.). Good Luck.
