Surnames: Cemetery Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ea.2ADI/1241 Message Board Post: Is anyone in Bibb County familiar with or know about an abandoned cemetery located in the woods directly behind Weaver Middle school on Heath Road in Bibb County, Ga. I believe it may be a cemetery where black people are buried. It is grown up terribly and 80% of the graves are sunken and without any slab or headstone other than a foot marker and head marker and I mean stones used for markers. I think it may have in the past had a connection to Hazzard Church located just down the road from the school but no way of knowing. It is at least an acre in size. After walking so many cemeteries it hurts to see where people have just been thrown in the ground like that. There may be about three slabs without names on them and there are only about three that actually have names with dates. I am going to follow those up and see what I can find. Any help would be appreciated.
