Family lore says: Allie may have been adopted. She was not treated well by her foster parents. She left home at young age for SC. She had a twin sister that moved to Port Rico. Allie was an orphan and her aunt raised her. Allie's mother died when Allie was ll months old (Feb 1885). (I don't know if the TAYLORs was her aunt, foster parents or adopted parents)
