Cherry was sheriff for 2 terms of Bibb County. We have that from family mouth to mouth, and from his obit notice. He was also a Captain in Army, during the Civil War, prior to being sheriff, and was then a farmer when he died, as well as in the Masons in Rutland district. He is supposed to be buried on Cherry family farm, and we've yet to locate that. I'm going to check further on location when in Macon again this spring, but someone posted information on the Rutland district in last couple days, and street boundaries which will help. Thanks.
