    3. There are two books I know of about Macon. One is History of Macon and Central Georgia by Butler and the other is History of Macon, Georgia 1823-1949 by Young, Gholson and Hargrove. I bought mine from e-bay but I know the Butler book is sometimes found at book sites like http://www.alibris.com. I checked the indexes and could not find the name Wilder in either book. The History of Macon, Georgia book does not have a really good index so there still may be something in that book. Good luck, Joan On Sun, 11 Nov 2001 06:56:12 -0800 "Anne & Pete Bowie" <[email protected]> writes: > Yes, the book is called Macon, Georgia's Central City. 3. Thanks to Joan and Annie for your help. The interesting thing is I thought I would look to see if I could find the book at Amazon and several of the books on Macon have the index online. I just searched on Macon Georgia and one of my Heard cousins has an entire book about her Findlay ancestors to peruse.
