Local author, Harry Stillwell Edwards, wrote an amusing tale of the travels of a trusted slave who was sent from his home to another plantation to protect and transfer an heirloom bride's cup during the Civil War. The existence of same name places in each state leads him on a merry journey... Can anyone locate a vendor, or bookshop that carries these books? I would like to present these titles in my Sherwood family history as a resource for local flavor.They used to be sold at the Museum of Arts & Sciences when I was in high school at McEvoy...if any who lives the area is willing, I would love to locate a set and refer to the location (library or shop) in my presentation.
