This is the first of more postings to come on the 1840 Bibb County Census. There are more than 8 enumeration districts. In the 1840 Census, the enumerator for Bibb County, Wards 1 and 2(William B. Cone), was asked to obtain the names of the head of household, the number of free white males and females in age categories, number of slaves, etc. In this posting, Ward 1 and Ward 2 are listed with the names of the head of household only. Due to the spelling and handwriting difficulties, the spelling of the names sometimes need to be corrected. When I could not read the names, I attempted to write what I could get, and used a question mark. Please contribute any corrections.
