In 1885, a Meredith McCoy was involved in the Upper 11th District at IdleWlyd Park. This information is from the book " The First 110 Years of Houston County, Georgia. Addie Howell's book, "Cemeteries and Obituaries of Houston County, Georgia" have some references including "Mrs Julia McCoy died Oct 4, 1885 at the residence of her son, Mr Meredith McCoy, at Echeconnee, Houston County, Ga. she was 72 Years old and was buried at the family burial grounds."
