He was from Ill., & she was from TX. My John was born ,according to their marriage license ,in 1870. She in 1880. Their marriage license was dated 8, 9, 1896.It seems that my dates are different from yours.They had a called Job Scott, but his name might have been John. Some where back ,an ancestor was named Nathaniel Scott. I have been unable to connect with anyone who knows that name. So I can go no farther with the Scotts.I believe Nathaniel was Job's father or grandfather.Job was born in 1844 according to the census. His wife was born in 1849.They had a son named John. ,b. 1872.
