Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ea.2ADI/1242.2.1.1 Message Board Post: How refreshing to know that the search for Tidwell ancestors did not die with Bobby Stokes. My line of descent is through Wm. Eli, Sr. through his eldest son James A. and Mary Ann Toole Tidwell, who had 12 children, one of whom was my grandfather John Howell Tidwell. The other 11 have been a bit more difficult to trace. I have spouses and birthdates for them, but not much else. The last pictures I saw of the Tidwell Cemetery were sent to me by Jimmy Allen. They are posted on the web. How strange that Wm. Eli, Sr. who Bobby Stokes said was the first grave in that cemetery is not listed on the marker. I wish you luck on your SC search for the family of Hugh Millen and Wm. Eli, Sr. The families of the late Rev. Alva Tidwell and Eunice Tidwell Newberry, my father's siblings, are the only family that I know from that area of Bibb County.
