Surnames: HARMON, TURNER, BATEMAN, McDONALD, McCRARY,HAWS/ HAUSE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Ea.2ADI/674.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks Gaila, Tell me please is this Middleton is kin, or the son of the Middleton that married Mary Busby of Bibb County on 21 Nov 1839. I see the Middleton you spoke of is also there in 1860, as he and his Mother-in-law submitted letters of Administration after James Busbee died c1847 in Bibb County. Who is the Middleton McDONALD that appears on the 1850 GA Federal Census?? This is a lookup I requested after looking at the index for the 1850 census. Here is the 1850 Bibb Co. Census you requested: # 7-68 Middleton McDonald, 36 b. GA Polly 26 b. GA James 5, b. GA Middleton 6 mo. (recorded Sept 25) b. GA I did not find anything on Middleton in the book of extracts from Macon Messenger, nor in Bibb Co. Marriages. Reply from Barbara S. [email protected] Is one of these persons William Middleton McDONALD? Are they kin? As you see, the Middleton in the 1850 census has also named one of his children Middleton also. Can anyon untangle all this for us, or give us a lead as to where we can find either of these mens' wills? I am inclined to think that the man who was married to Mary Busby may have been our Jemima's brother although that MUST yet be proved, of course. Thanks for your help. Jack

Middleton and his Mother-in-law submitted letters of Administration after James Busbee died c1847 in Bibb County. In 1860 Middleton was the JP who married his brother-in-law George Washington Busbee in Houston County, Ga. I may have more information on Middleton, but I am not sure I have the information you are after. It probably focuses on the Busby family good luck in your search, Gaila

    3. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/bibb.htm Although we have a summary of wills on our Bibb County Archives Page, we don't have a SINGLE actual will. I feel certain that many of you on this Bibb County List DO HAVE actual wills....and as you know the summaries can sometimes miss very important details. In fact almost every time I type up a will, I discover something that I had missed when I was just reading it. So, PLEASE, go through your files, TYPE up any wills you have (for any county for that matter) and share them on-line. Just send them to me via e-mail. I'll make sure they get on-line with your e-mail and name attached. I've also had lots of people find me by way of the wills/deeds I've posted. Virginia Crilley
