Re: Colleen's September Challenge I haven't completely got around my roadblock yet, but I am gaining by going around the barn so to speak. Census and queries weren't turning up anything on my great grandfather Logan Sanders, so I decided to post a query seeking info on the church and cemetery that he gave ground for in 1835 in Berrien County. Another family researcher graciously sent me a history of Old Pleasant Baptist Church, which included Logan Sanders listed among the eight charter members. My next step will be to contact the church directly to see if they have more info. Since several couples were listed among the charter members, but Logan's wife, Sarah Sally Fountain, wasn't listed, it leads me to believe she and Logan had not married as of the founding of the church in June 1835.
