rbowen3, I cant help you a whole lot other than to empathize with you on Empire Cemetery. I have been there a few times and the graves are really packed in there. By the way, the cemetery is in Lanier County, not Berrien County. I know a person who goes there but as for having an organized listing of the cemetery I do not know of one in captivity. Since you already have the death certificate you probably have the pertinent info on James Bennett Bowen. I looked in the Berrien County cemetery book and there are only 5 Bowen names listed there. One other thingy, There is a Bowen's Mill at Ray City, GA which is just inside Berrien County and not far from the Empire Church (across the woods). Do you think this might be some of the same family? Exodus XXI Verse:16 - Charles T.
