Colleen is doing such a wonderful job with the GABerrien-L ! She and I plan to work together to help get more things on-line for Berrien County. Take a look at what we have --- http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/berrien.htm We also have an easy form http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ Colleen has arranged that the data that you share using the form will automatically also appear on the GABerrien-L list as well as being permanently stored on-line. Since Berrien has a long history - 1856 -- I'm sure there are many things that you have in your files that you can share. It was part of Original County - Irwin (not to be confused with the present day smaller county Irwin). Land was distributed through the 1820 Lottery for this area. If you want to read more about the lottery itself and who could draw in it.: http://www.sos.state.ga.us/archives/rs/1820.htm Not everyone chose to move westward -- many just sold their land to others.
