You must be using a type of spam-blocking that only allows messages from certain addresses through, and it doesn't recognize my e-mail address. I have already written to Darlene, who got me in touch with her father-in-law, Tom Hollingsworth, but, as he said, it is much harder working on the Southern Hollingsworths. I am hoping that you might be the person with the one piece of Hollingsworth information I need. The Hollingsworth whose parents I am looking for is Sarah ("Sally") Hollingsworth, married in Davidson Co., TN on 8 May 1823 to William Alford, who we believe was our William. So far no one who researches Hollingsworths has been able to help me place her. Recently I found a copy of a newspaper article from Gibson Co., TN, listing the petitioners for the formation of the county in 1823, on which our William Alford's name was listed right next to a Robert Hollingsworth. This was a completely new piece of information to me, and I am now sure that, if I could determine the origin and parents of this Robert Hollingsworth, I would probably be well on my way to discovering the parents and origin of William's wife, Sarah. I have a feeling that he was either her father, brother, or a cousin. I wasn't able to find this Robert on the 1830 Gibson Co., TN Census, so perhaps by then he had either passed away or had moved on, since there was one Robert Hollingsworth on the 1850 Henry Co., TN Census. I know that your reply will probably be that your Hollingsworth's were not ever in TN, but I just had to try when I read your message. If you see this, please contact me at kathysschultz@earthlink.net
