Hey everyoneMy Grandfather Wyley Lee Overstreet was born (b.16 Aug 1877 Berrien) to Lewis Jefferson Overstreet ( b.1 Dec 1847 Burke) and his wife Sarah Armiza Mathis (b. 20 Dec 1851) who was born in Berrien County. Lewis Jefferson Overstreet's father was Jacob Overstreet (b. 1807 or 17? Burke). Lewis Jefferson Overstreet lived for a number of years in Nashville, GA and supposedly had a shoe repair shop there. I have an old leather awl which was supposed to be his. I do not yet know where Jacob Overstreet's family came from except that he was supposed to have been born in Burke county around 1807 or 17, not sure which. I am on that county discussion list also. I am looking for any information which would help me to round out the whereabouts and activities of this family, which eventually moved into Florida.
