Friends and Cousins, Hope this New Year's Eve finds you all well. With all the posts of folks looking for burial information, got me to wondering if maybe someone on this list has access to obits of the Berrien County area? If you DO have access to the obits, would you have time to do look-ups? Everyone's time is valuable, and sometimes seems impossible to find enough of it. You might try lookin in the Cemetery at Brushy Creek Primitive Baptist in Irwin County. I believe that many of the Paulks and Griners are buried there also. It is in South Irwin county not too far from Alapaha near the Berrien County line. Hi Lafe, It is interesting that you asked "Which Micajah are you searching" since I understand there are more than one of them. Actually I am not looking for him. While at the McMillan cemetery I noticed his grave simply because I am a cemeholic and "I brake for cemeteries." When I see one I will stop and walk around just because. Good Evening, Does anyone in our group happen to have information on Robert Mack Griner or his wife Ida McDaniel. I know of two children they had (am not sure if there were others). My main surname search is on Thomas and Hester Ann Clark Lindsey. Some how or another these Griners have ties with the Lindsey family. I have a Gabe Griner who married Claudy Anna Lindsey. She was the daughter of Benjamin Morgan Lindsey and Cynthia McCrainie. I have no information on Gabe. I have a Leroy Griner who married Verdie Belle Connell. I have no information on him. Shirley, Strange, I have Abner in the household with his mother and step-father in 1870 Berrien County, H.H. #479 at 4 years old, and the 1880 Berrien County, H.H. #255 at 13 years old. I have the same sources for Nancy E. and she is 7 years old in 1870 and 17 in 1880. Unfortunately I can't access my census records right now to double check, but those were the sources listed in my program. I will definately double check them as soon as I can, goodness knows I could have misread the films. I don't have the Mary you mention, but I will look for her as well. As mentioned in the last mail by Sarah, Henry evidently died in the Civil War, but I haven't had a chance to check the records she mentions yet. Otherwise I do not know where he is buried.
