The 1870 census for Bartow Co. lists Emeline Jorden(spelling may be wrong), head of household with the following children: Susan, age 22; Hillard(probably Hilliard), age 21; Emily, age 18; Elizabeth, age 10; Fannie, age 8; and Willie, age 4. Does anyone out there know who this woman's husband was or anything about her? I have reason to believe the child Fannie was my grandmother. I'm truly up against a brick wall.
