RE: I need info regarding the Florida & Georgia state line. I know it moved around from time to time over a period of many, many years before it was finally settled. Liz Gerlits Liz. I would like to clarify my previous answer to this question which read in part: "... the Family History Libraries has books that show the creation and movement of counties in a state by census year i.e, 1790 to 1820." What I meant was that these books contain MAPS of the states for each census year 1790 through 1820. So although most people normally look in these for county boundaries changes you can also look at maps to see the state boundary changes. The title of the book is "Map Guide to US Federal Census 1790 - 1820" by William Thorndale and William Dollarhide; Genealogical Publishers Inc.; Baltimore; 1987. Sorry I wasn't very clear in my original posting. Diane.Casey@bull.com
