I was wondering if someone on the list might be able to answer a few questions for me. I have been searching for my 4th great grandfather, Joshua Smith Reeves, for some time now. I found him listed in Cass County in 1850. I was unable to find him or his wife after this time. The other day I had someone send me this information on him: "Joshua Smith Reeves died first of year 1860, died intestate: Cass County Ga. "Admin proceedings started 14 July 1860 (mb-e p. 189)? Robert C. Hooper & Noah Reeves (next of kin) appointed administrators 1 Oct 1860" My question is, would this be an administrator bond? I am not familiar with this type of record. My second question is, would it be possible to get a copy of this from the courthouse, and if so, what the cost would be for this type of record. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
