Have you visited Arlene's updated Bartow County page? http://www.gabartow.org/ It's so easy to navigate and she's working hard to get more data on-line. I'm the file manager for the Archives page and we work closely together. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/bartow.htm You can help out by sharing the data that you have. So many times people think it is complicated and don't know how to do this. Just type up whatever you have --- Bible Record, Deed, Will, Military Record --- and send it to Arlene and I. Also we really need to have someone work on Census--- as that is always the first place that people begin their research. Does anyone have access to ANY Cass-Bartow Census....beginning with 1840 (or at least I think that would be the first one)? If you have subbed to Ancestry Census, and could transcribe even ONE page...that would help others out so much. Some of you may even have subbed the Heritage Quest or have CDs ....or can work from the microfilm....whatever your source -- we need to work together on this! I use a very simple format when I transcribe --- anyone can use it, and I'll be happy to work with you on it. I've found that by going through a census line by line, you often find things that you may have missed earlier. So if you wanted to concentrate on a Census that was only the pages where YOUR family lived, we'd be happy to have even that portion of it. Virginia Crilley
