My brick wall is Terrence McGuire. Terrence was born 1828 d. 1855 (this is from his tombstone) He is buried at Mount Carmel Methodist Church in Kingston with his wife Margaret Elizabeth Nevill McGuire. Does anyone know of this family? Hi! In the 1850 Census there is 1334-1351McGuire, Terrance 27M IRE Stone Mason Margaret 21F GA Summer, John 73M IRE (grandfather?) A few doors down is 1342-1359 McGuire, Patrick 31M IRE Quarer (brother?) Marianda 22F GA Next Door to Terrance is: McLellan, Robert 60M SCT Stone Mason Mariah B. 62F SCT William 25M Cabinet Maker David 9M SCT A SCT is Scotland. There are no other Irishmen in the immediate area. You might follow the brother and see if you can find out from his line where he was born and who his parents were. You might also check the Bartow County Marriage records and see if they were married here. That would give you her maiden name. He died aweful young....killed in a quary accident? Did they have any children? It looks like he and his brother may have worked for McLellan. I do not see any possible family connection with him.
