The Stiles-Akin Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans has updated their website with lots of new information. Rosters for 17 of the 37 known Companies recruited in Cass/Bartow County are available online with look-ups offered on 10 more. We are looking for the last 10...if you know where they are, please let us know. We are starting to add photos of the Confederate Cemeteries and will soon start adding photo readings of the Confederate Soldiers buried in Bartow County- cemetery by cemetery. If you have a Confederate ancestor buried in Bartow County, please let us know and we will get him online. We offer look-ups on the 1864 Confederate Militia Census of men over 18 who were at home in 1864, as well as look-ups in the 1850 Census. While the site is nowhere near complete, there is quite a bit of information there. Use the What's New feature (coming soon) to keep updated.
