While in Cartersville a few weeks ago, I had a wonderful time exploring one of the Genealogical Societies, the Courthouse Probate Records, and the John J. Smith Cemetery. My grandfather directed us there from memory (and got lost in the process), but I have no way of retracing those steps. If anyone is familiar with this, could you please send me an "address" of this place. There is also a house near the graveyard that was supposedly the John J. Smith house, or later his son James M. Smith's home. There was a sign on the back door that said "Harvest House" and "closed Monday, May 28, 2000" which tells me it is presently used. I have been told that this house may be torn down in the near future. If anyone has further information on this house, or what it would take to get inside (before it is too late), please let me know. I would also like the street address for this house, and who now owns it, etc. ANY additional information would be appreciated from anyone who knows anything!
