    1. [GABARTOW] ADAIR / LEFEVRE / BRANDON / YOUNG / KEY / PRICE / CAMP / HOOD
    2. whnok13
    3. Hi All, I am new to the list and searching for a PHOTO of WILLIAM M. ADAIR, whether individual or family shot as long as it shows a good, clear shot of the face. ROBERT SIDNEY ADAIR was born in South Carolina in 1783. He descended from one of the old families of the Adairs of Scotland. His great grandfather was Robin Adair, a boon companion of Robert Burns, the Scottish Bard. His wife, MARTHA PATSY LEFEVRE was related to the distinguished Lefevre family, originally of France and then South Carolina. Her mother was a widow named Milliner LETCHER whose maiden name came from the important family of KEY in Virginia. They were married in South Carolina and then later moved to Gwinnett County, GA in 1818. The immediate family of Robert Sidney Adair, who became a Judge, consisted of two daughters and four sons. ELIZABETH ADAIR married Moses A. BRANDON in 1837 and died of consumption in Cass County (present day Bartow County) in 1847. PATSY ADAIR married Joseph A. YOUNG in 1843 and died in Cass County. MADISON LEFEVRE ADAIR, the oldest son, lived in Lawrenceville and married the daughter of Berryman CAMP of Jackson County, GA. ROBERT SIDNEY ADAIR JR married 1st Eliza Ann HOOD, the daughter of James Hood, and 2nd a Miss PRICE. Another son, TERRY JACKSON ADAIR died in 1868. The youngest son, WILLIAM M. ADAIR was killed in action at Gettysburg in the Army of Northern Virginia on July 4, 1863. Have much information to share on this family and am hoping to connect with someone related to this family line that will have an old family PHOTO that will include the youngest son, William M. Adair. I am badly in need of the photo for a Civil War research project that is very important. Best regards, Jane

    3. Hi Evelyna, We noted the HUBBARD connection in Cass & Cherokee Counties. Joede's gr-grandfather, John W. Hubbard was born in Adairsville, GA in 1852. We do not know who his parents were. We do not have any records of him or his parents from Cass Co., GA. Outside of the information from the family that he was born May 26, 1852 in Adairsville, GA, the earliest record we have of him is his marriage licence. He married Martha Ella ALLEN on June, 10, 1874 in Lamar Co., TX. Any information on the Hubbard families in Cass & Cherokee Counties will be greatly abdicated. 3. I have a Sarah A Hubbard Raby living in Cass Co., Ga., in 1850. Married in 1828 in Hall Co. Ga to Peter Raby. That is all the information I have on her past. Have info from then on to her death in Missouri. Have some info on Hubbards of Ga., of that time if you are interested. Would appreciate any info you might have on my Sarah. She was living with a John Hubbard in Cherokee Co., in 1840 it appears =not positive about this as age was close and again no husband - Peter never is shown with her on census records. Only the marriage record and a record of some mercantile charges in 1832 in Hall Co., Ga. She was from SC. There are connections to Reed and possibly Short families. Also on the census there appears to be a Chastain that looks interesting. Any ideas?

    1. [GABARTOW] Cemetery records look-up, please!
    2. Hi, I'm looking for someone with access to Cemetery records in Bartow Co. I have a Charles Harris, married to Frances Rebecca(?) Snow. I have a lot of information on the Harris family, but would like any cemetery records on Snow's burried in Bartow Co., I believe that Frances's mother was also named Frances, possibly Frances Elizabeth, but I have no idea what her father's name was. Both are supposed to be burried in Bartow Co., and possibly have some Cherokee ancestry. I may have their middle names crossed up. That's what I get for not looking at my notes. Thanks, Linda
