    3. Hello: I wanted to tell everyone that the next book in the series of THESE MEN WORE GREY will be available in the next 2 weeks. I am now taking orders. I have not yet had an opportunity to add the BANKS CO. Book to my webpage but here is a list of the contents of the book: Book contains over 800 BURIAL RECORDS of Confederate Soldiers and their wives. It also includes his military records, and if he drew a pension and where. and their wives, along with a genealogical profile of each solider. For example his wife's maiden name along with their marriage records. Census record listings for each man either in the house of his parents (siblings included) or his own household, which ever could be located. Even in many cases even his parents marriage records have been documented. Appendix I contains the MILITIA RE-ENACTMENT ENROLLMENTS. These records include his age, occupation, place of birth and the district in which he was enrolled. This is proof of Confederate Service. This Appendix contains over 400 names. Appendix II contains the COMPLETE SALT RECORDS for this county of 1863 and 1864. These include the individual listings of WIVES, WIDOWS, and FAMILIES Dependent on the labor of a Soldier that were eligible for Salt Rations. 260 names listed. Appendix III contains the Confederate Pensions filed for in Banks Co. of the Veterans and Widows. Over 460 listings. Appendix IV contains The ROSTERS of the Soldiers from the BANKS CO. area. Co. A, 24th Ga. Regt., Inf.: Co. D, 43rd Ga. Regt., Inf.: Co. A, 2nd Ga. Regt., Inf.: Co. H, 34th Ga. Regt., Inf.: Co. B, 29th Ga. Regt., Inf.: Co. A, 11th Ga. Cavalry: Cartledge's Co., McDonald's Co., and Deadwyler's Co. of the 4th Ga. Cavalry Unit: Co. G and H of the 13th Ga. Cavalry Unit: and Co. G, Galt's 1st Ga. State Line. Appendix V contains WILLS written and probated in Banks Co., Ga. during 1861--1865 of the Confederate Soldiers. Where each of these men are buried and what unit they served in is listed along with an Abstract of their WILL. Appendix VI contains A LETTER HOME written by Pvt. Hugh M. Brown of Co. D, 43rd Ga. Regt. Also contains names of men who were in prison with him. Profiles of each of these men have been recorded here along with where they are buried if known. Appendix VII contains PICTURES and a complete listing of the MONUMENT to the 43rd Ga. Regt., Co. D located in BANKS CO. Appendix VIII contains a listing of the PENSIONERS of 1886 (the first ones) who were amputees. Appendix IX contains a POTENTIAL listing of every man and woman in the county born between 1800 and 1850 that could not be identified with all the resources available to me. COMPLETE BIBLIOGRAPHY BURIAL RECORDS COMPLETELY FULL NAMED INDEXED. (all other lists, Salt, Militia, Pensions, Muster Rolls are done in alphabetical order which is already in an index form for easy searching). Book is 280 pages. Each Cemetery listing was personally canvassed by myself. This book is an excellent research tool for Banks Co. researchers.
