Hello: Can anyone help me identify the parents of John Union Dodd buried at the Old Terrell Family Cemetery in Banks Co. He married Manerva Terrell daughter of James A. Terrell who is buried there also. I need some information on him to help me identify if he was a Confederate soldier and am searching for him in a census record but the only John Dodd I find in 1860 Banks co. is a John M. Dodd in the household of Jeremiah Dodd. He is 12 years of age. Can anyone tell me if this is the same John Dodd. I also find a John W. Dodd in a marriage record in 1872. He is not to be found either in the 1880 Banks Co. Census. Can anyone help me with these men or tell me if they are ONE and the same with the initial just being misinterpreted. John Union Dodd in the marriage records of Banks Co. is recorded as John "U." Dodd. His wife is listed living alone in the 1880 Banks co. census so I assume he has died. She was born about 1855, (Manerva Terrell Dodd). Any help will be appreciated to try and distinguish if these are three different Men. Thank You, Karen T. Ledford/Toccoa, Ga.
