He was the brother of my ancestor, James Lightsey Waters, who lived in Hall County and later Talladega & Shelby Counties, Alabama. If this is the same family, let me know.> - ------------------------------------------------------------ Reply: I am looking for the parents and ancestors of a Judith Waters that married William Dodd in 1806 in Franklin County, Georgia. Later, their property became a part of Hall County when it was formed even though they did not move. Later still, when Banks County was formed their property again fell in the area of the new county, even though they had not moved. At the time of her marriage, Judith Waters stated on her application for a Widow's Pension for the War of 1812, that she was married in her father's house at Silver Shoals in Franklin County.
