He was from Georgia and he was named after his uncle, Green Berry ( or Green). He moved to MO. as an adult from Alabama. My mother is his brother Willis Singletary's only living child. When we were small, she taught us a rhymn about his name that went "GreenBerry Singletary, Huckleberry Pie." It doesn't make any sense but when we were little we thought it was funny. If this is your Green Berry I have pictures of him when he was young and I can share some history with you. Let me know.
