    1. [GABANKS] Proof of Death for Richard Hooper abt. 1836
    2. Dear Listmembers and Researchers, I'm in need of help locating any records pertaining to the Death and Estate Settlement of a Richard Brooks Hooper who is believed to have died in either Franklin or Banks Co., GA during the 1830's. He is buried near the County line of these two Counties and served in the Rev. War. Could someone, with knowledge of Estate and Probate Records for either of these Counties, do a lookup for me on this Rev. War Patriot and report to me any books and page numbers found in either/both Counties pertaining to the Probating of his Estate, which I know included a favorable amount of land? I know there has to be some mention of his Death in Probate Court Minutes, Orphans Court Minutes, Fee Books, Settlement & Inventories, or the like. Any information or clues would be greatly appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving! Robert C. Richard m. 1st Mrs. Elizabeth Adams Word (Little), widow of Charles Word, Jr., 2nd Andonea Mason (Miller), no children. (Elizabeth's dau., Millie Word, m. Richard's brother, Matthew Hooper.) Richard is bur. in the Miller graveyard near Prospect Church. 1790 S.C. census listed him with 3 sons under 16, 4 females, including wife and 2 daughters, and 5slaves.
