Obit: Toccoa Record She died March 11, 1974 MRS. LILLIE RICE Mrs. Lillie Crowe Rice, Hartwell, died at her home Monday morning, March 11, following several months illness. She was a native of Banks County, a daughter of the late Randolph and Nancy Bond Crowe. She was the widow of Alvin M. Rice and a member of the Zebulon Baptist Church in Toccoa. Surviving are six sons, Alvin Rice of Belton, S.C., Dewitt Rice of Palataka, Fla., Dorsey Rice and Curtis Rice of Hartwell, Garnett Rice of Thomasville, N.C., Olin Rice of Eastanollee; a daughter, Mrs. Orlena Webb of Hartwell; six sisters, Mrs. Lila Barnes of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Jessie Fitzpatrick of Ila, Mrs. Vanna Simmons of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Argie Bennett of Atlanta, Mrs. Nelle Adams and Mrs. Nora Wyatt of Danielsville; two brothers, D.L. Crowe of Dacusville, S.C., R.H. Crowe of Macon; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Hudson River Baptist Church by Revs. Oscar Anderson and Wade H. Lord and Dr. C. Raymond Wilson. Burial was in the church cemetery.
