This is a mystery. I also show (according to a book written by Julia Mize) that he married a Susan Parker. Speculation is that they had a son - Jesse Hill- born in October 1885. I have no concrete information on this, but relatives say that in a census from Oconee County, Ga. that it shows that Jesse was residing with his Father. William Crawford Hill that was married to Mary Etta Mason was my Grandfather.
