Searching for the parents, etc. of Menda Barnes, AKA Mendy or Mendie. She was born 8 August 1877 and died 23 July 1916 after being struck by lightning in Commerce, Georgia. She married Henry C. Allen (1872-1947) on 28 August 1898 and had one son, Leonard Coile Allen (1899-1938). She and Henry are buried in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Pocataligo, GA. (Madison County, near Danielsville) I have in on good authority that she and her family were from Banks County, but I have yet to be able to confirm that.
